Painting While Traveling! / Pastel painting tips

Join me in sunny Saint Petersburg Beach, Florida where I not only enjoy the fun and sun, but get in some pastel painting at the same time. In this video I share tips on how to paint while traveling including supplies, set up and more.  I wanted to do more plein air painting, but it was so hot I painted mostly from my hotel room with a beautiful view.

  1. Canvases come in different sizes and they are made from different materials. The higher priced the canvas is the better quality materials were used to create it. Norman J. Brodeur & Norman Brodeur Some of the cheaper canvases simply allow the paint to run instead of soaking the paint up and hold it in place. You must remember that most artists experiment with the different canvases until they find one brand that they like the most. Then they will purchase that brand repeatedly because they are accustomed to the way it handles the paint and they know what to expect.
