Check Out My New Youtube Channel! Art Instruction, Demonstrations and More!

I'm so excited about my new youtube channel.  I have so many people inquire about art and show an interest in learning to draw and paint, so I thought I'd create a youtube channel to help others with their artistic curiosity and exploration.

I call it "Monet Cafe'" because its a place where I serve up art in a fun and relaxing way.  I will have basic drawing lessons, as well as fun tutorials and demonstrations.  This site is kid friendly and just a great place to visit, learn, relax and enjoy.

Please visit and subscribe to Monet Cafe' to receive new and fun art lessons!! This is your chance to find your artistic happy place and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of art!  Simply click the link to begin your artistic journey...

Honoring a Great Man

I thought I would do a sketch of this man who had such an impact on our nation. Yesterday was Martin Luther King Jr. day and from what I've learned of him he was not just a great civil rights activist, but a true and faithful follower of Jesus Christ.  I did the sketch rather quickly, but I think I've captured his likeness.

"Missing You" / A short demo of my sad puppy painting

My latest painting is not supposed to make you sad, but the look on this cute puppy's face definitely tugs at the heart strings.  I created this painting to be donated to a wonderful cause.  Each year in February many artists volunteer to give a painting to the fundraiser, "65 Roses".  This is to benefit those with Cystic Fibrosis. It got the nickname "65 Roses" because it rhymes and kids remember it easily.   Each painting has to have a rose in it and I've contributed for the past few years.  All of the proceeds from the sale of the paintings go to help those with Cystic Fibrosis.

I have made it available as prints, greeting cards, tote bags, coffee mugs and more on my print site:

Sketching Faces and Having Fun!

Trying some quick sketches of people and I thought it would be fun to try celebrities.  Can you guess who this is?  It doesn't look just like him, but close :)
